WVM: Recent Concert History
Since our 50th anniversary year in 2017, Wye Valley Music has presented 33 concerts, an average of 10 concerts per year, in Monmouth, Chepstow and St Briavels. These have been made up of:

· 1 violin & viola duo
· 1 flute & piano duo
· 1 guitar duo
· 1 piano trio
· 4 string quartets
· 1 piano quintet
· 1 clarinet quintet
· 2 baroque/ early music ensembles
· 2 vocal ensembles
· 3 showcase concerts for artists from the RWCMD
· 1 Klezmer band
· 1 Tango band
· 1 Jazz/Cabaret band
· 1 Illustrated talk
The chamber music repertoire presented has been spread across the ages, encompassing works from16th century polyphony, the baroque, classical and romantic eras to the 20th century, plus a good sprinkling of contemporary compositions. In three years, our programmes have provided audiences with opportunities to get to know and enjoy music by over 80 different composers. The aspiring and established artists who have played for us have successful careers as soloists and chamber musicians.
