Scarlatti: 3 short Sonatas - KV.216, KV.215, KV.175
Hilary Tann: First Light: A Meditation on Beethoven Op.96 (New Commission)
Beethoven: Violin Sonata No. 9 in A, Op. 47 ("Kreutzer")
This was to have been the final concert in our series of recitals playing all of Beethoven’s violin sonatas, but the need to reduce the concert to a one-hour duraton has prevented this. However, the specially commissioned work by Welsh composer HILARY TANN remains in the programme for this event. We are planning that the two remaining Beethoven sonatas - nos 4 and 10 - will be played at a future concert
The Beethoven in Wales project has been supported by the PRS Foundation’s Women Make Music, the Colwinston Foundation, Ty Cerdd and Gwyneth and Tony Peters.
